Director, Division of Anatomic Pathology

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School invites applications for a faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor level as the Division Director for Anatomic Pathology. The section is responsible for performance of Anatomic Pathology services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – the school’s 650 bed tertiary care core teaching hospital in New Brunswick, NJ and partner of the Cancer Institute of NJ, an NCI designated Cancer Treatment Center. A creative and innovative leader, the Director of Anatomic Pathology will provide strategic vision and will collaboratively implement new initiatives to ensure the growth of Anatomic Pathology, guiding our surgical pathology, cytopathology, and autopsy pathology services. The Director of Anatomic Pathology will also be expected to give guidance to our educational and research missions.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership experience in anatomic pathology, and substantial clinical expertise in anatomic pathology, particularly in surgical pathology; additional expertise or board certification in cytopathology is especially welcome. Candidates must possess an MD, DO, MBBS, MD, PhD, DO, or PhD; be board certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology; and be eligible for a New Jersey medical license. In addition to the leadership role, responsibilities include provision of patient care services, teaching, research, and service to the institution.
